Long before he ever sold a roll of carpet, Herbert "Herbie" Holden was learning the value of hard work in Belfast's Markets. He left school at 13 to help support his family, working first as a fishmonger and later delivering bread to neighbourhood shops. Those early years shaped the principles he carried into flooring: be genuine, admit your mistakes, treat people fairly, and always look after your customers first.
After leaving Ireland to come to Canada, Herbie earned a reputation for being honest, down-to-earth and dependable. Customers would line up on Saturdays just to deal with him, and in 1976 he opened his own flooring store. Today, our family carries that legacy forward through London Flooring Canada, bringing nearly 50 years of flooring experience directly to homes throughout London and the surrounding area. We provide honest advice, careful planning and professional installation—because Herbie taught us to do it right and look after your customer first.
